Mabel’s Blog

Hi there!  On October 10th, Mabel, Bert and I appeared at Old Town Canoe’s end of season sale. We signed books all day long and had the best time meeting everyone who came by.  Visiting Old Town Canoe is an experience in itself, a destination. Its a fascinating place! So much to see and learn there.  It’s so interesting how kayaks and canoes are made!  They make all kinds of them, and many different brands. Then even have an indoor pool where you can try one out! And the people who work there are very knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. We had the best time!  Thank you Old Town!

well the day has finally arrived to raffle Mabel’s  customized Old Town Vapor kayak!  It will be held live at West Marine, in Woburn, MA this Saturday, August 22nd, 2009.   Thank you to Old Town for so generously donating this awesome kayak, a yellow one that looks just like the one Mabel uses in Mabel Takes a Paddle.

Mabels books continue to travel, just like her…they are now available in the Grand Caymans at Atlantic Department Store.  Who knows where Mabel will end up next!  Stay tuned!

It is kind of rainy here today. I want to go out and play in the mud, but mom says No Way! Oh well, guess I will take a nap.
